Permission to Rest
Lately I’ve been asked to speak more and more about mindfulness at work. When I do there is such a huge sigh of relief in the room as if everyone was waiting for the permission to breathe.
So this week I’m keeping my Monday Morning Inspiration short and sweet. Today I give you the permission to rest, to breathe, to notice the beauty that surrounds you.
This week make sure you take at least 5 minutes to rest in the middle of the day. Get outside for a minute and take a deep breath of the crisp fall air. Go to bed early. No one is going to think any worse of you. In fact, if you get a little grumpy like I do when I’m tired, they will probably appreciate it.
Rest is not only good for your physical body, I was reminded this morning it is good for your soul to get a chance to take the lead for a minute.
